Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She holds a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in the fields of theater, film and TV. Aunjanue. Ellis began her acting in the theater. Then, she appeared in television programs along with independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she received not just praise from critics but also a number of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995, she made her debut in the role of Ariel on the stage as Ariel in The Tempest. She has performed in Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her most well-known work is her work in Men of Honor as well as the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. For her work on television she has been praised for her performance in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
