AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) is a striker. She also serves as the captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest division in professional women's soccer. From 2018 to 2020, she co-captained America's women's national soccer squad along with Megan Rappinoe. [8][99 Morgan was chosen as the top pick in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she was able to graduate early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut at the club and helped the team win the league championship. Morgan aged 22 at the time, was the youngest player on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, which the team finished second. Morgan scored the match-winning goal in the match against Canada during the 123rd minute of the semi-final match of the 2012 London Olympics. Her 2012 ended with 28 goals, 21 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. It made her the sixth-youngest U.S. player ever to reach 20 goals in one season. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, Morgan was also named a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan was instrumental in helping to help the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. Morgan was also included in the Dream Team. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
